Das Innovation Lab 21 wendet sich an lokale Medienunternehmen und macht sie zu Partnern und Multiplikatoren für die Entwicklung einer demokratischen, von Qualitätsjournalismus und Medienpluralismus geprägten Öffentlichkeit.

Mit dem Projekt sollen Impulse gesetzt werden, die lokalen und hyper lokalen Medienakteur:innen eine nachhaltige Finanzierung ihrer Medien ermöglichen. Das Projekt zielt von Anbeginn darauf ab, Unabhängigkeit sowohl inhaltlich, als auch wirtschaftlich zu ermöglichen.
